I Give Away All the Secrets of My Manifesting

Any of my friends will tell you that I’m an incredible manifester. Even in my 20s, I blogged about something called “the Lexie phenomenon” which could only be described as the wildest and magical events that always seemed to be occurring around me.

I went to see a psychic last year and he told me 2024 would be the year I leaned into my spirituality. I’m not a religious person (in fact I overheard my brother-in-law ask my dad if he brought his bible and holy water when they came to stay in my house so I’m pretty sure he thinks I’m a demon), though I do see similarities in what I call manifesting and what others would call praying. And I see similarities in my belief of the universe as a higher power and someone else’s belief that god is a higher power.

Leaning into the universe as a higher power has brought me a lot of peace because I no longer try to control (okay, I try to remember I cannot control) outcomes. I also accept that I may not know what’s best for me or the greater good in the moment, though with time these things eventually become clear. As an example, I was laid off from my job in February 2024. At the time, this felt like one of the worst things to ever happen to me. But I ended up getting an even BETTER job in March 2024 that has really changed my life and career and really opened up so many other opportunities for me. So in a way, losing my job in February was actually one of the BEST things to ever happen to me.

Manifesting isn’t about luck, chance, or waiting for something outside of you to change. It’s about you becoming the person who already has what you desire.

So with all of that being said, here are my top tips for successful manifesting.

Bad Witch Manifesting Tips

Set Your Intention

I understand that manifestation may seem a little “woo woo”, but here’s why it works. When you manifest, you are setting an intention. And when you set an intention and it’s top of mind, you will notice signs, opportunities, and chance encounters that were invisible to you before. This is not “woo woo”; this is science! This is your reticular activating system that shows you evidence that matches your dominant focus.

Where you place your attention, is where you place your energy. Most people focus on what’s missing in their lives. This sends a signal that you are lacking and you don’t have what you want. But you cannot manifest from a place of lack. Focus on opportunity, not on struggle. Focus on solutions, not on problems.

Embody the Feelings of Your Future You Desire

Practice gratitude and embody the feelings of your future you desire–love, joy, success, etc. Train your body to feel gratitude for a future that has not yet occurred. You cannot manifest a new future while feeling the same old emotions from your past.

The emotions of your past – stress, fear, doubt, unworthiness – are keeping you anchored to your current reality. Instead of saying “why isn’t this happening?” ask “how would this feel if it had already happened?” Focus on gratitude, love, and joy. The more you feel these emotions now, the faster your external world will reflect them back to you.

The life you desire is not something you chase; it is something you become.

To give you an example, I have never been a manager at work. I have never had people reporting directly to me nor have I been responsible for anyone’s performance reviews or compensation.

But at some point, I decided I was a leader. And that I didn’t need anyone to make me a manager for me to lead through influence.

In September, I was formally asked to sit on my team’s senior leadership team. And I will add I’m the ONLY one that sits on that team that is NOT a manager. I shifted into the identity of the person who already has what I desired. I did not wait for proof. I became the proof.

When you learn how to embody the feelings of your future before it arrives you will draw it to you like a magnet.

This video is really helpful for understanding how to reprogram your subconscious to become the future you desire

Don’t Stress – Surrender

Stress is the biggest killer of creativity, intuition, and manifestation. Meditation and breathwork help us get into the state of relaxation.

One of the biggest mistakes people make when manifesting is being tied to an idea of exactly how or when their intention will come to be. Relax and trust that your intention is on its way–and may be even better than you could have ever imagined.

If you truly believe the future is already unfolding in your favor, then you have no reason to stress about it. Two of the affirmations I say to myself every morning are 1)
everything always works out in my favor” and 2) “I’m the luckiest person I know.” Once I started living this way and believing this to be true, I would randomly get comments from friends about how happy I looked. Surely I could find evidence to suggest that I’m not in fact the luckiest person I know, but I could also find evidence to suggest that I am. What you’re looking for is what you’re going to find.

“Surrender” has been an important theme for me this month. Surrender is NOT giving up. Surrender is NOT passive. It is the HIGHEST form of power. If you try to control the process, you are signaling lack, and we already know we cannot manifest from a place of lack, stress, survival, or desperation.

Remain in a state of receivership. Your new reality is already on its way – you cannot control when it’s going to happen or how it’s going to unfold. In fact, the more you try to control your manifestation, the more you push it away.

The moment you surrender and trust – that’s when the magic happens.

“I have set the intention, I have elevated my emotions, I have taken inspired action. I now release control and allow the universe to do the rest.”

Surrender allows you to let go and create space for miracles to unfold in ways beyond your imagination.

Other Manifesting Insights & Experiments

  • Manifesting while sober – I did a sober(ish) October in 2024 and noticed my manifesting was way more powerful and immediate.
  • Pay attention to your moons – Although October is also the Aries hunter moon, which could have also played a role for me in how potent my manifesting ability was.
  • Sex magic – The idea that your manifesting abilities are stronger when you’re climaxing makes sense to me because (I at least assume) you’re manifesting from a place of joy… or at least not from a place of lack ;-). I will say I have had some success with sex magic before.
  • Whisper method – The whisper method became popular on Instagram/TikTok. I feel like most people use this to try and get people they are interested in to text them. I believe it to work–though it took about two weeks lol. So according to my friend’s daughter, if it took two weeks to work, it doesn’t work. Shrug.
  • Love letter method – Do I sleep with a love letter to my soulmate under my pillow? Yes. Does it work? TBD – though I do like the idea of getting very specific about what you’re looking for in a partner. Manifestation is about alignment, so being aligned with what you’re looking for in a partner helps you focus on individuals with those qualities (and let go of the people who aren’t serving you).
  • Detaching from an outcome – The law of detachment is something I could do a whole blog post on. You don’t need the outcome; the outcome needs YOU. Don’t stress or doubt yourself. The outcome (or something even better) is a certainty and already on its way.
  • GratitudeYou will manifest better if you’re already in a state of gratitude and abundance. My preferred method of practicing gratitude is keeping a document in my notes app called “Microjoys.” I like noting “microjoys” because they could be something as simple as a slow Saturday morning having coffee in bed or waking up before my alarm goes off or something much more significant like getting a promotion at work.
  • Daily affirmations – I mentioned earlier two of the affirmations I say to myself each morning. Daily affirmations put me in a positive headspace and are supposed to assist with manifesting. I believe these to work and they are such a positive way to start my day. These are the affirmations I say each morning
